The Solwise PL-85PEW_MK2  is a Homeplug 85Mbps Ethernet Adapter with a built in 54Mbps Access Point. The HomePlug is using the Intellon 85Mbps Turbo chipset which means this adapter is compatible with the rest of the Solwise HomePlug 1.0 range.

The PL-85PEW_MK2 is ideal for anyone who wants to extend their wireless signal coverage for Internet access or  to make an internal network.   Built-in Quality of Service (QOS)  for HomePlug  also provides the necessary bandwidth for multimedia payloads including  Broadband TV (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, Online-Gaming, VoIP Calls, Wireless LANs coverage, Audio-Video transmission across the network as well as Network camera connectivity.  

Easy to install and use, it plugs straight in to any existing wall electrical socket while having a low power consumption, it comes with 56 bit DES encryption ensuring that your network communication is free from eavesdroppers and hackers. The AutoMDI/MDIX functionality also simplifies and ensures a hassle free installation.

You will require at least two HomePlug devices to create your network.

I would give YourDigitalHome 5 stars for their service. Unfortunately this device did not work.

This arrived in only a couple of days. I have used HomePlug devices for several years but I could not get this one to work. It would get as far as the router but would not go onto the internet.

I gave up in the end and asked for an RMA which was sent to me after support tried to help me. In the end I went for a 3 port ethernet HomePlug which worked as soon as it was plugged in. So maybe the 85PEW was faulty.
